Divorce can be tragic and painful. The collateral damage can be enormous. With the right help, one can overcome and bounce back from it. Dating after the divorce is final can be quite the challenge. You can go from actually hating the opposite sex generally to immediately filling that partner void with the first someone that comes around. Both can be detrimental to one obtaining a positive relationship with someone. You definitely have to kiss a few frogs to find that prince or princess.
Hopefully you learn from all the "rebound" encounters. And, that's all they may end up to be, just encounters.
Meeting the opposite sex can be quite challenging at your 40's and 50's. A lot of my friends find it difficult to meet someone on their own level. Everyone has baggage. But, you have to decide if you can handle a tote or a trailer full of baggage. And, then there is the chance that you gravitate towards someone like your ex. Which, in the end game, is very common. Sometimes better to throw the dice in Las Vegas.
